From a Production Record to an Assigned Task

The production inspection is complete. The form is filled in. But the manager only finds out about the issue in the afternoon, when someone enters the data into a spreadsheet.

And in the meantime? The paper sits on a desk while colleagues try to work out who should deal with the deviation.

This is exactly what we address at Z + M GROUP. We connect production records with follow-up tasks so that information reaches someone who can act on it in time.

How does it work in quality control?

  • An employee records a deviation directly in the system.

  • A task is created for the responsible person based on predefined rules.

  • That person receives a notification, and the manager can see whether the issue is being addressed.

This eliminates manual re-entry and reduces the need for phone calls and emails. Everyone knows who is responsible for what and by when.

What happens after the form is completed?

This is one of the questions we ask when discussing digital transformation. It often reveals where work gets held up and which steps would benefit from being connected.

How long does it take for a finding on your production floor to become an assigned task?

If a process like this comes to mind, get in touch. We can review it together.
