Implementing MFA

When implementing MFA, the first question isn’t “which tool should we buy?”
The first question is “what do we already have in place?”
At Z + M GROUP, we first strive to understand what the organization is already using. And where it’s possible to integrate GITRIX into the existing environment so as to avoid unnecessary additional costs.
Many organizations already have a number of identity-related elements in place today.
Active Directory.
Microsoft 365.
Time-and-attendance chips.
Access cards.
USB tokens.
Certificates for electronic signatures.
Mobile authenticators.
VPN tokens.
The problem is often not that the company has nothing.
The problem is that each system operates somewhat independently.
- One system handles logins.
- Another handles certificates.
- A third handles doors.
- A fourth handles attendance.
- A fifth handles audits.
The result?
Greater administrative burden.
Poorer overview.
Greater dependence on IT.
And more complicated proof of who had access to what and when.
Our goal is not to force customers to use additional hardware, additional tokens, or another standalone system if it doesn’t make sense.
When was the last time you mapped out all the systems in your company that handle user identity?
