Security measures that users hate will always be a problem.

And sooner or later, IT will start to feel the strain, too.
When it comes to MFA, concerns often arise:
“Won’t this make people’s jobs more complicated?”
“Won’t they be constantly calling the help desk?”
“What if they forget their PIN?”
“What if they refuse to use the mobile app?”
These questions are entirely valid.
A good MFA solution shouldn’t just be another obligation.
It should be usable in day-to-day operations.
That’s why it makes sense to address, for example:
- self-service PIN changes,
- remote assistance for forgotten PINs,
- primary and backup authentication methods,
- different types of authentication based on user role,
- a clear process for onboarding and offboarding.
A different authentication method may make sense for receptionists.
A different one for administrators.
A different one for company executives.
A different one for external contractors.
Security and user convenience are not mutually exclusive, and thanks to our Gitrix solution at Z + M GROUP, that’s exactly what we’re able to offer our customers.
In your opinion, what’s the bigger challenge when implementing MFA: the technology itself, or user adoption?
